Patent filing cost in Iran
Estimate the cost of a patent application in Iran by claims and pages. Add a priority claim or Persian translation and watch the total update.
How a patent estimate is built
A patent application is priced mainly by its size. The base fees cover a set number of claims and pages; longer specifications and larger claim sets add to both the official charges and the translation work.
Translation is usually the largest variable. The specification, claims and drawing text must be filed in Persian, and accuracy here is essential: the translated claims define what is protected. We work with technical translators and review the claims ourselves before filing.
If you have already filed the same invention elsewhere, you may be able to claim priority from that earlier application. The calculator adds the cost of preparing and filing the priority claim when you tick that option.
Keeping the budget under control
- Review the claim set before translation; trimming redundant claims reduces both fees and translation.
- Send us the final text of the earlier application so the translation starts from the right version.
- Tell us your deadlines early, especially if a priority period is running.
Common questions
Why does the page count matter?
Pages above the number covered by the base fees add official charges, and every page has to be translated into Persian. Page count is therefore the main driver of the total.
Can I supply my own Persian translation?
Yes. Untick the translation option and the calculator removes it. We still review the text for consistency with the original before filing.
Do you offer patent searches?
Online patent search is coming soon. In the meantime, use the patent tab of our search tool to send us the details and we will run the search for you.
Is examination included?
The estimate includes the base filing and examination charges in our schedule. Responses to objections raised during examination are quoted when they arise.
